KP to Increase Job Quota for the Religious Minorities

The provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has taken the decision of increasing the job quota for the religious minorities in the provincial jobs from the present 3percent to 5percent.

The provincial government has given approval as part of the resolution in the KP Assembly earlier this week wherein it had given approval to a motion.

The resolution 173 reads that this august, assembly appealed to the provincial government that just as in the government manged-departments in the centre and in other provinces, where a 5percent quota has been reserved in the government jobs quota for the religious minorities, in KP should also be surfed in light of the increasing population of the religious minorities in the province should be surged from 3 percent to 5 percent.

The resolution had been introduced into the house on the 1st of April 2019 by the incumbent government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MPA Ravi Kumar. The resolution was unanimously approved. It would now be sent to the provincial cabinet for approval and adoption as a rule.
