The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has decided to set up an online sabzi mandi for ensuring the provision of quality household items at the doorsteps of the citizens.
A mobile application is presently under the development process which would be made available on the Google Play Store and the Apple’s App Store by the end of the month. Using the application, citizens would be able to order groceries and fruits online at the government provided rates without any delivery charges.
As per the Directorate General Information of KP—Chief Minister—Mahmood Khan would be inaugurating the service in the month of January.

In the first phase, the online facility would be launched in the 4 districts of the province which includes Abbottabad, Dera Ismail Khan, Mardan and Peshawar.
These online sabzi markets would provide all household commodities like fruits, vegetables, grains and other food related items on government specified rates.
It is pertinent to mention that a same kind of measure was introduced by the city administration of Islamabad, previously in the month of November. DC Islamabad—Hamza Shafqat said that the application was aimed at controlling the unlawful price hikes by the shop owners in the city.
This measure is a good one by the government for providing ease to the residents of the province.
