All the schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) are to remain closed until the 31st of May, as per a notification that has been issued by the KP government on Monday.
All activities and examinations that were scheduled before the May 31 have been annulled. The notice has also placed a ban on the teachers or other staff from visiting the school campuses.
The decision of the KP government has come many days after the provincial government of Sindh and the federal government announced schools and all other educational institutes closure until the 31st of May.
Like all the other provincial governments of the country, the government of KP has also asked that these holidays been taken as a summer break. In the notice, it further added that further decisions would be announced after the 31st of May.
The decision was taken after the coronavirus outbreak in the country. The province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has reported 192 cases so far. The province has also reported 4 deaths.
On the other hand, as per the latest, the federal minister for Science and Technology has said that the locally manufactured ventilators in Pakistan would soon be provided to DRAP.
