The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has taken the decision to set up labourer facilitation centres in every district, as per the reports of local media. The news was revealed by the minister of KP, Shaukat Yousafzai.
The minister said that the provincial government will give a permit to anyone to pressurize the labourers to get themselves registered with social security. He also asked the labourers to launch their complaints on 091-9211546, in case they are facing the issues of non-cooperation from their respective employers.
The minister also said that the government of KP will make sure to provide the dowry funds and death grants to the labourers who get themselves registered. They would also be provided with the disability pension, scholarships for their children and death pension.
Yousafzai said that the government has given out instructions to the director labour to gather the data of all the labourers who are currently employed at the commercial plazas, industrial units and hotels.
He further detailed that the legal changes will also be introduced for the imposition of the labour related laws and special training sessions will also be organized in the labour colony for putting an end to the pressure on the labourers.
