Mahmood Khan—the CM KP has given approval to the motorway project for the Southern districts and has announced that the government would soon be starting the Peshawar Dera Ismail Khan Motorway.
As per the Peshawar Secretariat, the advisor to the CM on the combined districts Ajmal Wazir broke the news at a joint press conference stating that this is a big day for the Southern districts.
He mentioned that the project was approved by CM Khan after having consultations with the representatives of PTI of the southern districts.
He said that the completion of the Peshawar DI Khan Motorway would change the destiny of the southern districts.
The project cost would be determined and announced later, which would be nearly 339 km long and would have more than 15 interchanges.
In the meantime, the Minister of State for Narcotics Control and SAFRON—Shehryar Khan Afridi said that the project would be reducing the deprivation of the southern districts. He added that the feasibility of the project is not ready but work on it would begin in some time in future.
He also said that all the regions of the province are being integrated via an excellent communication network. He also said that the project would be implemented in a detailed manner.
On the other hand, as per the latest development, the Minister for Planning and Development–Asad Umar has launched startup programme for the youth of the country.
As per the minister, the youth is an asset to the nation and all would be done for facilitating these young minds to start their businesses.
