The government of KP has got the plans of making trout available across Pakistan.
The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is establishing 400 more farms for trout in Swat, as per the KP Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries on Saturday.
Muhibullah Khan informed that they would be making at least 400 more fish farms in the region.
The trout fish farm was formed in the year 1961 in the area of Madyan in Swat. The district of Swat has now got more than 200 fish farms. These farms have got Brown, Kamloop, Rainbow and Salmon trout.
The Swat district only produces more than 1,400 metric tonnes of trout fish annually, as per the shared details of Muhibullah.
A senior leader of PTI—Jahangir Tareen said that trout attracts people from various regions of the country to Swat.
He said that that the fish is an attraction for the people. The fish would be sold all across Pakistan and this would benefit Swat’s economy.
