KP Govt. Extends Winter Holidays for Schools Until Jan 31

The government of KP has decided to extend the winter holidays of schools until the 31st of January 2021, due to the extremely chilly conditions in the province.

As per the shared details, the schools in the upper region of the province of KP would also be reopening from the 1st of February.

On Monday, Pakistan announced that all schools throughout the nation would be reopening from the 18th of January, after having been closed for almost 2 months owing to the second wave of COVID-19.

While announcing the decision in a news conference following a meeting of the provincial education ministers in the federal capital, the education minister-Shafqat Mahmood has said that some 300,000 educational institutes would be reopening in phases commencing from the 18th of January.

The minister had said that all the educational institutions would be reopening in phases, students from classes 8 to 100 would be joining the schools from the 18th of January, while the students in the classes from nursery to class 8 would be going back to their schools from the 25th of January.

The universities throughout the country would be reopening from the 1st of February.
