KP Decides to Conduct Random COVID-19 Tests

In all the public and private schools, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) Elementary and Secondary Education Department (ESED) has decided to conduct random Coronavirus tests.

This decision is taken to make sure that schools reopen smoothly across K.P. Also, the aim is to provide the students and workers with a coronavirus free environment.

The Health Department of KP will carry out random coronavirus tests of students, teachers, staff, canteen, and individuals working within school premises.

The administration of the public and private schools have been asked to collaborate with the teams of the provincial health department to carry out the random coronavirus tests.

Also, the ESED of KP has completed and issued SOPs to all the educational institutes in order to avoid the recurrence of COVID-19 in the province.

All educational institutes have been directed to conform with the SOPs for the protection of students and staff members.  

It is pertinent to mention here that the IPEMC (Inter-provincial education ministers’ conference) made a decision to allow all universities and colleges to reopen from the 15th of September.
