Kia has made the announcement regarding the launch of the new Sportage. It will be released in a basic LX trim level. The vehicle has a similar overall design except for a few alterations in the features list. The new variant will just be a front-wheel drive. Similarly, there are few changes being made in the specs of the vehicle.
LX will not have a panoramic sunroof. It will be equipped with 17-inch alloy rims, halogen projection headlights, halogen rear lights, DRLs without the extravagant quad-ice cube design. There will be no fog lights and neither any parking sensors. There will be a manual hand brake and a 7 inch LCD based infotainment system.
The car will not have a 2.0 litre petrol engine that can make 155 horsepower and 196 Newton/Meters of torque and is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The basic features including dual-zone climate control, USB and AUX ports, steering controls for infotainment, driver-passenger airbags, Hill-start assist, downhill brake control, and vehicle stability and traction control would be in the car.
The price of the car is Rs. 4,399,000/-. The advance booking price is 1,500,000/-.
The direct competitor of the car in the market is Toyota Fortuner which is must more costly than Sportage.
