Basically the statement lounge is the one where the buyers and sellers are asked to record the statement on the sale or purchase of the KDA properties in which they agree on the terms and conditions of the transfer process in the presence of a KDA official.

Now they would be appearing before a KDA official and would be recording their statements on the video camera in the Statement Lounge. Their photographs, signatures and thumb impressions would be taken while their statements are being recorded.

An assistant director of KDA from the particular area would be preset at the time of the complete process. The process is meant for the convenience of the general public at large.

Applicants would be required to first submit a file in the KDA Land Department, situated at the 3rd floor of the Civic Centre. After the checking of the documents, the particular KDA branch would call both the buyer and the seller for recording their statements.

After the statements are recorded, the file would be sent back to the KDA land Department for further approval.

Following that, it would be sent to the IT department for making it a part of the records. The file would then be sent to the department of recovery.

After that, the recovery department would then be issuing a pay order/challan against the particular piece of land and would be sending the file back to the land department.

The land department would be keeping the documents along with a copy of the challan in its record.

A senior director of the KDA said that the introduction of the Statement Lounge would greatly help the applicants in recording their e-statements.

As per the senior director, the statements of 30 applicants are being recorded on a per-day basis in the Statement Lounge. A parking area has also been allocated for the applicants visiting the facility.
