The Karachi Development Authority—KDA has made the biometric attendance a must in all its offices. This step has been taken for ensuring that the staff attends the workplace rather than just collect salaries while staying back at their homes, as per the reports of local media.
A formal notification has been issued by the authorities on the matter and biometric machines have also been installed within the premises of the KDA.
While speaking about the new attendance mechanism the Director-General of KDA said that salaries would not be given if an official is found not marking their attendance on the newly installed setup that is the biometric attendance machines.
