Sheikh Rasheed, the federal minister for Railways has said that the work on KCR revival is on a fast track under the directives of the Supreme Court.
As per reports, he said this while addressing a brief press conference at the Shah Abdul Latif Station in the SITE area on Karachi.
The minister for Railways said that he was not well and that he is not in the mood to speak, however, he only wanted to say that the work on the Karachi Circular Railways project was on a fast track.

He also said that he has visited the Gulbai, Machhar Colony, Nazimabad, and Gillani railway stations lately and he is pleased to inform, that things are moving at a good speed. Sheikh Rasheed also said that the KCR is a Rs.10.5 billion project of which Rs.10.8 billion would be spent in the initial phase.
He indicated that the provincial government of Sindh is also with them and it has taken the responsibility of building 24 overhead bridges, level crossings, etc. and that they have also issued the tenders for all this to the Frontier Works Organisation.
He further revealed that the preparation of KCR coaches in the federal capital was also underway and a model coach would soon be shown at the Cantonment station in Karachi.
He also said that he would himself come to Karachi after every fifteen days for supervising the work and said that he hopes that they could make it happen soon.
