KCR Rehabilitation Date Announced


The rehabilitation date of the Karachi Circular Railway (KCR) has been announced. It indeed is big news for the people of Karachi.

As per the shared details, a railway spokesperson said that KCR is being restored in phases from November 16. Initially, KCR will operate from Pipri to Landhi and Orangi.

A spokesman for the railways said that four trains would leave from Pipri and four from Orangi in May. Train departure times will be 7 and 10 a.m. and 1 and 4 p.m, respectively.

A spokesman for the railways said that the fare for a full journey of 60 kilometers would be Rs.50.

The Supreme Court of Pakistan has issued a written order about the restoration of the Karachi Circular Railway in August this year.

Court order mentioned that the apex court has approved the proposal of the Sindh government to hire Frontier Works Organization (FWO) to construct the circular railway underpasses.
