KCR has reduced the fare to Rs.30. The Karachi Circular Railway (KCR) train service has decreased its fare from the earlier set Rs.50 to Rs.30, as per the reports on Friday.
As per the shared details, the Pakistan Railways has issued a notification as per which the fare for one-sided travel has been set at Rs.30.
Moreover, the commuters can travel without paying any charges via the newly resumed train service only today that is Friday.
KCR train service was resumed yesterday between City Station to Pipri after a long gap of 20 years.
The minister for Railways while addressing the inauguration ceremony of the KCR announced to reduce the train service fares from Rs.50 to Rs.30 and a package of Rs.750 for one month.
The railways Minister-Shaikh Rasheed Ahmed also said that the department has delayed the resumption of KCR from the City Station of Karachi to Orangi section owing to the problems of level crossings and the renovation work of the stations.
He added that after 15 days the KCR route would be extended further by fourteen kilometers. The work on railway crossings has been initiated on an immediate basis.
