According to the reports of local media, the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) has given approval to the Karachi yellow line bus project.
A meeting was held for this purpose which was supervised by Dr.Abdul Hafeez Sheikh an adviser to PM on Finance and Revenue.
The overall project would cost nearly Rs.61 billion to the national fund. In the meeting not only this project was approved but also the Peshawar-Torkham motorway project and Lahore Water Waste management project were approved.
The yellow line bus is as per the suggestions would start from Dawood Chowrangi to Lucky Star Sadder via Korangi Road. This line would be linking up the residential areas of Korangi with the Korangi Industrial area and the Central Business District of Saddar.
On July 15th, the last meeting of ECNEC was held in which it approved the revision of the cost of land acquisition and also built-up the property of the Dasu hydropower project.
As per an issued statement, the committee has also given approval to the project for the evacuation of power from 2,160 MW Dasu HPP Stage 1, Dasu to Islamabad via Mansehra at a revised cost of Rs 90,831.69 million.
On the other hand, the government of Sindh has outsourced the Mai Bakhtawar airport in Thar.
