An official notification has been issued by the Registrar Karachi University (KU) Professor Dr. Saleem Shehzad according to which, both the semester and annual exams of Karachi University and affiliated colleges will be conducted online through Microsoft Teams, Skype, WhatsApp or Google Classroom.
The exams will be divided into four different modes that are; Session Assessment, Final exam, Lab Assessment, and Supplementary exam.
Session Assessment mode will have a case study project, term paper, class tests or activity, thematic essay, quiz, open-book assignment, individual or group presentation, and individual or group oral examination.
The Final exam mode will have essays, reading and comprehension, oral examination, final year project, and open-book assessments.
Moreover, in the lab assessment mode, only vivas will be conducted as the practical part is impossible to conduct during the COVID-19 pandemic as it can jeopardize the students’ and staffs’ health.
The supplementary exam mode will be the same as the final exam mode.
All those students facing medical issues or internet problems are required to submit an application to their class teachers so that their oral examination could be arranged by the administration of KU.
