The Karachi Traffic Police today released alternate routes for the Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain on the 8th of October (Thursday).
The security has been constricted for the Chehlum procession and all the areas in the route of the procession are being blocked.
The police have also explained the route of the procession and also they told alternate routes to the residents.
The procession will begin at 9 am from the Imam Bargah situated at the Martin Road that will reach the Nishter Park at around 12 pm. At 1 pm, the procession will leave again for Mehfil-e-Shah-e-Khurasan by taking the Sir Shahnawaz Bhutto Road.
Later on, the devotees will leave for MA Jinnah Road through Mansfield Street.
The Chehlum procession will conclude at the Imambargah Hussainia Iranian located in Kharadar.
After the beginning of the procession from Nishtar Park, the traffic will be diverted towards Soldier Bazaar Road. Traffic coming from the Nazimabad side will be diverted towards Nishter Road and Zoological Gardens from Lasbela.
As per the reports, people coming from Nazimabad and Lasbela to Saddar can take Nishter Road as an alternate route. Moreover, the traffic coming towards Liaquatabad will be diverted towards University Road, Dak Khaana, and Old Sabzi Mandi.
Traffic coming from the Stadium Road towards the MA Jinnah road will be rerouted towards Shahra-e-Faisal, Shahra-e-Quaideen, and Kashmir Road.
People coming from Rashid Minhas Road to the city can use the route from Hasan Square to SITE.
