Karachi Traders are to launch 3-day protect against high taxes.

The Karachi Traders Action Committee has made the announcement of launching a 3-day protest against the surging federal budget taxes.

The business community across Pakistan had a joint session in which the decision to have a shutter down strike was taken. The strike is to be observed on the 13th of July.

Rizwan Irfan—the Karachi Traders Action Committee said that the government has shown an irresponsible attitude which has led them to call on for strike.

An eleven-point agenda was also presented by the traders to the federal government which encompassed the threshold for the tax to return to Rs.1.2 million, uniformity in the collection of taxes, reduction in the taxes in car imports, no audit of the taxpayers, etc.

Firdous Ashiq Awan—the Special Assistant to PM said that the traders are important for the country’s economy and their problems would be resolved on an immediate basis.
