As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (MET), Karachi is going to experience the third spell of monsoon rain between the 26th and 27th of July.
Sardar Sarfaraz Director MET said that another monsoon spell is going to hit Karachi on July 26th.
According to the Met Office, on 24th July a low-pressure area is expected in Gujrat India, and just like the previous two spells of rain, this will also enter Pakistan through Indian Rann of Kutch.
The second spell of monsoon rain occurred in Karachi back on July 17th. Many areas in Karachi received moderate and heavy downpour.
The second spell of rain caused a lot of trouble for the citizens as the roads were flooded in many areas of Karachi which hindered the traveling of the people and hence caused traffic jams in different areas including; Bahadurabad, Guru Mandir, NIPA roundabout, Liaqatabad, Hassan Square, Nursery, Lines Area, Star Gate, Jama Cloth Market, Clifton, Shahra-e-Faisal, Defence, Boat Basin, Regent Plaza and many more.
The Met office mentioned the areas which recorded the heaviest rain. Areas included; PAF Faisal Base 63.55mm, 40mm in Gulshan-e-Hadeed and Landhi, 41mm in Saddar, 16mm in areas near University road, 13.8 in PAF Masroor, 15mm at Jinnah Terminal and 9mm in Nazimabad.
