3-Ramazan and Eid Bachat Bazaars have been set up in Karachi by the East and Central district administrations for facilitating the public.
Two of these bazaars are in the District East. The Tuesday Bazaar is opposite the Baitul Mukaram mosque in Block 13-B, Shaheen Ground in Manzoor Colony or Gulshan-e-Iqbal if you are the resident of East district.
The third bazaar is at the Alfalah Ground in Azizabad, Federal.B. Area Block 2.
The organisers say that nearly 500 small and big stalls offering multiple items in the range of Rs.200 to Rs.1,200 have been set up in the bachat bazaars.
The stalls offer artificial jewellery, bangles, fruits, cloth, vegetables, fast food, shoes and much more.
One of the organisers informed that a screen of 20×40 has also been set up at each bachat bazaar for entertaining the visitors. He added that Qawwali and folk singing would also be arranged, and the World Cup matches would be screened.
He added that the objective behind the bachat bazaars is to facilitate the visitors and entrepreneurs.
The district administration says that it wants to give a chance to all such businesspeople who lost their shops recently during the anti-encroachment operations.
The markets would open after iftar until Sehri and would remain operational until the 9th of June.
