Karachi Police to Seal Restaurants to Control Coronavirus Spread

The Karachi police are sealing the large restaurants in an effort for controlling the spread of the coronavirus.

The police have taken actions in multiple areas, like on the Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Rashid Minhas Road and Kemari.

They are also taking action against the gatherings of people. Their reasoning is that there are mostly crowds at the restaurants and the coronavirus could spread easily.

The government of Sindh had issued advisories asking people for refraining from going to crowded places, especially if they are more than 40 or immunocompromised.

So far, the police are not closing down the smaller tea shops.

Pakistan has given confirmation of 53 coronavirus cases, as of Sunday night with 35 cases reported in the province of Sindh. The government has issued multiple advisories and is asking people to take caution against the ones going out at all.

On the other hand, as per the latest development, doctors who bunk the quarantine duty would be facing disciplinary action.
