Karachi Police Introduces P4U—A Police App

The Karachi Police following in the footsteps of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police also took the decision for advancing towards technology and hence have introduced a new police app called Police 4 You or P4U.

Th objective behind the app launch is to provide immediate support and assistance to the citizens of Karachi.

Dr. Ameer Ahmed Sheikh—the Inspector General of Karachi Police said that Karachiites would now be able to launch their complaints directly to the police officials via making use of the application. He added that direct help could also be sought by the city citizens by using the app.

Dr Sheikh also mentioned that he wants to get rid of the Thana culture that has been prevalent in the city since long, he said that he wants to do that in order to provide support at the nearest and easiest possible way to the citizens.

Police department would soon be introducing another application for complaints that could be registered against the police themselves for making sure that transparency remains in the department.

Currently, the app is only available for Android devices. In functionality it is very much like the application launched by the KPK police.

The basic aim of the application is to help and support the city residents for easily lodging their complaints with the police department for getting immediate help.
