On Thursday the city administration gave orders for the closure of the Karachi Marriage Halls by 11 pm. The orders further mentioned that action would be taken against the violators.
The decision was made at a meeting that was led over by Iftikhar Shalwani—the Commissioner of Karachi in the presence of deputy commissioners, local officials, and police officials.
The verdict would be implemented strictly and a campaign against the violators would be introduced after 2 weeks. It took the decision that marriage halls who would be found guilty of breaking the restriction would be scaled off.

The forum also thought over steps for resolving the issue of traffic congestion beginning from various ceremonies in the city and took the decision that special reforms would be taken to maintain the traffic flow.

Bahria Town Karachi has been under tight spot ever since its property has been termed as illegal by the Supreme Court.
