Karachi’s Green Line Metro Bus Project is a federally funded development program in the city. The Metro Bus Project is a 112.9 km network, which is under construction in the City of Lights. Its first phase is expected to complete by May or June 2018. Once the first phase is completed the Green Line Bus service will be operational from Surjani town to Guru-Mandir.

It is expected that daily the Green Line project will accommodate 400,000 commuters. When the project will be completed it will become Pakistan’s largest metro bus network.
Talking about the Green Line Project Chief Executive of Karachi infrastructure Development Company Limited Muhammad Saleh Farooqui said that the government both the federal & provincial are fully supporting this project & are cooperating in all possible ways.
The project was inaugurated on 25th Feb 2016 and it was hoped that it will be operational by Feb 2017 but the project has been delayed. We can only that the project will soon be operational as currently, its construction is just causing fury for the Karachiites. Roads blockage, traffic jam are the side effects of the construction of the Metro Bus project in Karachi.
