On Sunday, the Aviation Authority has taken the decision of closing the Jinnah International Airport of Karachi and the Sukkur Airport for all the domestic flights amid the lockdown imposition in the province due to coronavirus.
As per the issued notification by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the Karachi and Sukkur airport will remain closed for all the types of flight operations including the international as well as domestic flights with effect from tomorrow that is Tuesday, the 24th of March.
Previously, the federal government decided to annul all the international flight operations for two weeks.

On the other hand, as per the latest reports, the total count of coronavirus cases has increased to 799 in the country.
As per reports, out of all the cases reported in Karachi 77 are the transmission cases.
Sindh has been put under complete lockdown for fifteen days on the directives of the CM of the province. Following Sindh, Gilgit Baltistan has also taken the decision of province lockdown in order to curb the spread of the COVID-19.
