K-Electric has requested for a surge in gas supply from SSGC.
The Sui Southern Gas Company—SSGC gave a clarification in a statement that was issued today that it had not reduced the gas supply to Karachi Electric—K-Electric in mid of contrasting rumors, as per the reports of local media.
The spokesperson of SSGC categorically mentioned that the consistent and continuous gas was being relayed to the power generator and the quantity of the gas being supplied has not been altered or manipulated.
Although, K-Electric has requested to the SSGC for surging the gas quota that is presently being provided to them, as informed by the spokesperson.
The SSGC made the announcement to change its earlier decision of surging the gas prices of commercial tandoors throughout the country, as per the reports of local media on the 7th of September.
SSGC reverted the new rate which was announced to be at Rs.1,283 per MMBTU—Metric Million British Thermal Unit to the earlier allotted Rs.738 per MMBTU.
