Junoon, the most loved and famous band of its time, just announced that it is working on the World Cup 2019 Anthem.
Hai Koi Hum Jesa—was the World Cup Anthem of 2011, that was sung by Strings. It was one of the best songs to release out of the music industry of Pakistan. And if there is any other patriotic song that could give this track some tough competition is the World Cup Anthem of 1996—Jazba, which was sung by Junoon.
Now, after 23 years, the band is reuniting for a song for the World Cup 2019. The news was shared by the lead vocalist Ali Azmat on social media.
He wrote that he is proud to share the news with the public that Junoon is working together on a song for the first time in these 15 years for supporting the Pakistani cricket team. He added that he cannot wait to share the final song and video with all once it gets released.
Ali Azmat further mentioned that this song is for all Pakistanis. And is especially for the ones who are marginalised.
Salman Ahmed another band member of Junoon said that they are coming back for this World Cup song. He added that this track is for the Pakistani cricket team and it would make the nation proud.
