Jazeera Airways—the leading low-cost airline of Kuwait, operating regionally and internationally, has introduced its direct flights to Karachi, serving the most famous city of the country with a weekly flight.
As per a statement issued by the airline, the new service is the first in 2 decades between Kuwait and Karachi and the second for the airline to Pakistan. It supports the growing trade ties between the two nations.
Back in the year 2018, the exporters of Kuwait to Pakistan crossed the $1.5 billion mark, majorly driven by the oil exports, while the exports from Pakistan to Kuwait has attained $180 million. Kuwait is home to more than 130k Pakistanis.
Rohit Ramachandran—the CEO of the Jazeera Airways said that they are very pleased to have introduced their new service to Karachi and provide their customers direct and transit routes to the premier economic and social hub of Pakistan. The launch has come as part of their strategy for looking after the large expatriates and business communities in Kuwait as well as connect customers from their network to the famous business, religious and tourist destinations in the Middle East and Europe via Kuwait.
While commenting on behalf of the Embassy of Pakistan in Kuwait, Charge d’affairs—Ashar Shahzad said that it is a matter of great pleasure and pride that Jazeera Airways is commencing flights from Kuwait to Karachi as its second destination in Pakistan. They are hopeful that the new direct route would be enhancing trade, cultural, social and political ties between the two nations. He added that they are thankful to the airways for this and wish them success in all the airways operations.
The total duration of the flight between the two countries is 2 hours and 45 minutes from Kuwait to Karachi and from Karachi to Kuwait, it would be 3 hours and 30 minutes.
The scheduled flights leave on Thursdays from Kuwait at the local time 10:00 pm and return from Karachi at 3:30 am Friday.
