Japan to jack up investments in Pakistan

Kimihide Ando, the Chief Executive of the largest trading company of Japan, Mitsubishi Corporation, met with the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan on Tuesday.

Mr. Ando said that the government of Japan has decided to support the increasing investments of the Japanese companies in Pakistan in order to boost engagement with Pakistan.

He further praised the PTI government’s business-friendly policies and the company, Mitsubishi, considered to strengthen its footprint in meeting the energy requirements of Pakistan.

A delegation of the Japan’s largest trading company headed by Mr Ando comprising the country head of the company and high-level officials met with the Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad on Tuesday.

Advisor to Prime Minister for Commerce, Textile and Industry Production Abdul Razak Dawood, head of Energy Task Force Nadeem Babar, and other senior officials of the government have attended the meeting.
