The Islamic Development Bank, located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, has announced a scholarship programme for the year 2020-21 session.
According to the details, the scholarship programme has been announced for the member and Muslim countries including Pakistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir citizens.
According to the officials from the Higher Education Commission, the recently announced scholarship programme included Undergraduate, Master’s, PhD, Post-Doc Research, IsDB-ISFD scholarships for vocational education and training for 21 least developed member countries and IsDB-ISFD programme for Bachelor programme for 21 least developed member and Muslim countries.
The officials further said that the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) has been addressing human resources development in the member countries alongside its development financing activities to recognize the importance of the qualified human resources for the social advancement and sustainable development.
The HEC officials further said that the selected students from the member countries will be placed at any university, both in member countries or also top-ranked universities in advance countries.

It is pertinent to mention here that under the scholarship programme announced by Islamic Development Bank, 25 Pakistani scholars were selected in 2019-20 and awarded fully funded scholarship under different categories.
