Islamabad starts focussing on health under the FM of planning. In a recent meeting, Asad Umar was briefed about the ongoing progress in several hospitals.

In a recent joint session, Asad Umar – Federal planning and development minister – was briefed about the progress of Islamabad hospital. The hospital is a 200-bed project in G-13.

According to the briefing it is an extension of the Polyclinic hospital.

Asad Umar instructed the department to bring to use all the resources at disposal for improvement in the health sector.

The session was also briefed on the Golra Basic Health Unit (BHU). The construction of this health unit, according to department officials, is set to begin shortly.

The officials further highlighted the up-gradation works in all the health units across Islamabad is underway.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has also recently directed the concerned authorities to ensure the phase-wise provision of health cards across Punjab.

The publication also added that the PM has said the provision of quality health facilities to the masses was the top priority of the government.
