The roads of the twin cities of Pakistan (Rawalpindi and Islamabad), Lahore, Karachi and other major cities are partially blocked as the protesters of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan started protesting.
The reports said that the protestors are demonstrating a protest against the decision of the apex court of Pakistan to release Asia Bibi.
Asia Bibi was sentenced to death by the high court after being convicted with the blasphemy charges, however, the Supreme Court of Pakistan had rejected the high court’s decision and ordered to release Asia Bibi.
As per the reports, the protestors belonging to Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan and other religious groups took to the streets in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi and other cities.
In Islamabad, the protestors are being gathered at the Faizabad Interchange Islamabad, in Lahore, they started protesting outside the Punjab Assembly and on several locations in Karachi.
The police of the three major cities advised the residents to take the alternative routes to avoid the inconvenience.
