For two more months, the Islamabad city administration has extended the ban to launch new housing societies. As per the official notification, the decision was taken by the district magistrate after it came to light that a few housing societies, trusts, limited companies, and groups are operating against the law.

The notification said that these entities attract the general public by using newspapers and magazines to publish advertisements for new housing societies. A few of these entities either accept memberships for more than the available land or if they have no land at all. Thus, this practice surges forgery, disputes, unlawful activities increasing the number of petitions in courts.
Thus, the notification stated that the ban on the launch of new housing schemes has been extended for a period of two months.
Also, it is important to mention here that the ICT administration has extended the ban on carrying and displaying firearms for another two months. Other than those from the law enforcement agencies nobody is permitted to carry and display firearms.
Furthermore, the ban on manufacturing, sale, and purchase of fireworks has also been extended within the jurisdiction of Islamabad.
Moreover, the administration has also decided to extend the ban on within the jurisdiction of the capital in addition to banning the extraction of stones through explosives as it disturbs the public peace.
Also, the ICT administration has banned the digital medium usage to record and disseminate sectarian-related speeches. The distribution of pamphlets and wall chalking has also been outlawed.
