The Islamabad authorities on Tuesday took the decision of easing the lockdown by opening the hiking trails and parks for the general public with immediate effect amid the coronavirus epidemic.
As per the issued notification by the local administration, the grounds that are used for sports or sports related activities will remain closed.
The parks and hiking trails have been permitted to open subjected to that they will adhere to the SOPs that have been issued at different times which includes social distancing only for the purpose of the exercise, walk, etc, as per the issued notification.
It is pertinent to mention that 261 COVID-19 cases have been reported in the federal capital while 4 people have lost their lives owing to the epidemic so far.
On the other hand, Asad Umar has said that the spread of coronavirus cases in the country has decreased, the surge in numbers is owing to the higher testing capacity that the country possess now.
He indicated that now six to seven thousand cases are being performed on a daily basis, however, earlier only two thosand five hundred to three thousand tests were performed.
