The administration is considering to seal Chattha Bakhtawar and Lohi Bher, as both these areas in Islamabad are the new coronavirus epicentres after a number of cases have been reported in these areas.
The city administration is seeking advice from the health authorities in this matter, as informed by the officials of the Islamabad administration.
The count of coronavirus affected cases in the federal capital has surged from 154 to 163 in the span of the last 24 hours, as informed by the officials. The reported cases were from Lohi Bher, G-6/1, Taramri, Chattha Bakhtawar and Bhara Kahu.
Hamza Shafqat, the Deputy Commissioner has indicated that 18 cases surfaced in the span of the last 48 hours. The majority of the cases reported were in the area of Lohi Bher, after which the reported cases were in Taramri and Bhara Kahu. Some cases have been reported in some other parts of the city as well.
4 out of the 9 new reported cases were in Chattha Bakhtawar, as revealed by the DC. He also added that the area is the new emerging epicentre in the federal capital. He said that the situation in Lohi Bher is also such that needs to noticed and said that nearly 18 cases have been reported there.
Hamza Shafqat said that both the areas are under the observation of the health departments, which includes, the District Health Office and the patients who are confirmed they and their families have been isolated in their homes.
