In a recent meeting with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa, the Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif appreciated Pakistan’s performance in bringing peace in the region.
They further discussed matters of mutual interest, regional security situation, including the Afghan reconciliation process views on Pak-Iran border management and border markets.
COAS said enhanced Pakistan-Iran relations will have a positive impact on regional peace and stability.
The publication read that the Iranian minister applauded Pakistan’s role for regional stability, including the Afghan peace process. And pledged to keep working for better relations.
The minister arrived today and was received by Shah Mahmood Qureshi (Foreign Minister) and planted a sapling.
