President of the United States Donald Trump said that Iran is “playing with fire”.
The US president said this in the response of the statement made by Tehran that it exceeded a limit on enriched uranium reserves under a 2015 nuclear deal abandoned by Washington.
Israel urged the European states to impose sanctions on Iran. On the other hand, Russia voiced regret but said that the move by Iran was a consequence of the pressure by the government of the United States, which has pulled the deal towards collapse.
The British government called on Tehran “to avoid any further steps away” from the landmark deal. The United Nations said that Iran must stick to its commitments under the accord.
“Iran has crossed the 300-kilogram limit based on its plan,” Mohammad Javed Zarif, the Foreign Minister told a news agency.
He further added that the move by Iran could be reversed.
“They know what they’re doing. They know what they’re playing with and I think they’re playing with fire,” Trump told reporters in the response of a question asked about Iran at the White House.
