Pakistan would be hosting a four-day International Student Convention (ISC) and Expo 2018 from the 10th of December in Islamabad under the theme of “securing the future of youth”, as per a press release on Sunday.
The press release informs that the main objectives of the huge activity would include stimulating the role of youth towards peacebuilding, development and acquiring Sustainable Development Goals.
The convention participants would be from thirty countries and they would get a chance to make interactions with the leading personnel and subject professional of their interest from across the globe. They would also be enjoying a diverse group throughout the spectrum from academic institutions to the students of madrassas and other side-lined segments.
There are more than thirty sessions and competitions that have been crafted for making sure that a student participates as much as they could twenty-four seven, as per the press release. Tt further added that the ISC and Expo 2018 would be featuring international human rights day, university pavilion, digital technologies pavilion, diplomatic forum and corner, books pavilion, job fair, tourism and culture pavilion, career counselling sessions, talent hunt, model UN and National Assembly sessions, workshops, ideas corner, competitions, seminars, sports activities and many other such activities portraying a positive image of the country all over the world.
The event is being organized by the Inter-University Consortium for Promotion of Social Sciences Pakistan along with COMSATS, the Punjab Higher Education Commission, HEC, the United Nations Information Centre Pakistan, the Paigham-e-Pakistan, the National Book Foundation, the Pakistan Institute of Parliamentary Services, the National Democratic Foundation, the University of Lahore, the Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies and many other high-ranking local and foreign universities.
In the meantime, the organisers have initiated the registration process of students and relevant organizations.
