International seminar focusing on business opportunities has been started in Punjab Lahore, four hundred companies from other countries including Pakistan are expected to attend this event. A two-day seminar is started today in Lahore.
On Sunday, Haroon Shaukat CEO of Punjab Board of Information Technology PBIT informed while talking in the news conference, that companies from UK, Germany, China Turkey, Sweden and UAE will be the main participants of this seminar.
He further added, we are continuously encouraging international companies and making Punjab a better place for foreign investments. FDI plays a vital role in economic growth and sustainability. In the news briefing key people were present including PMTA chairman Khwaja Ahmed Hassan, MPA Azma Bukhari and Pakistan’s commercial counselor in China Irfa Iqbal.
Irfa argued that myths about our local industry that it has threats has been disappearing, now Chinese massive investment in the region would attract more foreign investors, it will help internationalize the local industry and further inflate its capacity.
In the seminar MoUs will be signed between local and international firms, during the signing ceremony CMP will also become the chief participant.
There are several projects in Punjab that will be unveiled in an expo a day later, foreign investors are also invited to see the showcased projects.
