Gwadar Port Authority Chairman Dostain Khan Jamaldini in a meeting announced that Bank of China has plans to open a branch in Gwadar. Along with the Bank of China, other brands national and international might open up their branches as well.
Mr. Jamaldini said that as Gwadar Deep Seaport would start it operations soon many banks are interested to open up their offices in Gwadar. Bank of China will start its operations soon in Gwadar.
He said that “Business and trade activities will flourish in Gwadar with the opening of branches of different national and international banks.”
The chairman claimed that work on the Gwadar Free Zone had started. He said the construction work would be completed in the next couple of months. Mr. Jamaldini added that the Pakistani and Chinese were working in three shifts to complete the construction of the Gwadar Free Zone as soon as possible.
Also, the current PM of Pakistan along with Chinese officials would inaugurate the International Expo Center in the area. Around hundred Chinese companies would take part in the expo.
Also, the news is that by mid of September Summit Bank and the Sindh Bank would merge and Summit Bank would become the second largest bank in the country.
