Pakistan Aviation Division has officially issued a press release yesterday, in which it announced about the extension in the international flight operations, as per the reports of local media.
As per the press release, the decision of the Pakistani government, of the suspension of the international flight operations has been extended up to Friday, 15th May 2020 at 23:59 PST.
The remaining provisions as were announced in the previous directives are to remain same.
But, the cargo and releied flights will be operated with special permits for bringing back thousands of stranded Pakistani in various nations across the world owing to the coronavirus pandemic. PIA has been operating the special flights from the 15th of April.
The aviation authority had previously given orders that all the inbound flights shall be put through detailed checking for the coronavirus as per the defined protocols which includes the swab tests, screening of the passengers and quarantine as per the advise of the health professionals.
Previously, on the 18th of April, Pakistan extended the ban on the local and international flights until the 30th of April amid the coronavirus outbreak.
Pakistan Aviation Authority said in a statement that the ban on all the flight operations was to be extended until the 30th of April.
