In mid of all the commotion the former prime minister—Nawaz Sharif—the chief of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and his daughter—Maryam Nawaz has finally ended up in prison with years-long sentence after the decision in the Avenfield Reference Case.
The father-daughter duo landed last night at Lahore airport and were then immediately shifted to Islamabad via a chartered plane for transporting them to Adiala Jail.
Jail life, especially in Pakistan is definitely an unpleasant occurrence which arouses many dreading and disturbing feelings. Prison is usually termed as hell because of its worse food, poor cleanliness and the lack of other necessities. However, some prisons are so amazing, comfortable and luxurious that they encourage one to commit a crime just for spending days there.
In the latest incident, the same kind of comfortable jail was prepared for the convicted former prime minister and his daughter as the Islamabad Chief commissioner declared the Sihala Police Training College Rent House in the federal capital as a “sub-jail” for holding the convicted prisoners on an immediate basis instead of shifting them to Adiala jail where Captain (Retd.) Safdar—Maryam Nawaz’s husband is serving his sentence of one-year.
The authorities have however issued a second notification mentioning that the Sihala would serve as a sub-jail only for Maryam Nawaz and that the preceding notification would be taken as invalid.

Some photos of the “sub-jail” have been shared by people on social media showing the calm and peaceful rest house in mid of trees and a big lawn with fresh grass. The room has a bed with a comfortable mattress lying on it. The walls are furnished with antique decoration pieces.
There are contradicting reports widespread in the media, some mentioning that both Nawaz and Maryam would be imprisoned at Adiala, while others are of the belief that Maryam Nawaz would be shifted to Sihala.
As per local media report the father-daughter pair spent the first night of sentence at Adiala jail in Better Class Facility as Maryam refused to go to Sihala rest house by leaving her father alone in the jail.
