Indian Pilot to be released Tomorrow – Imran Khan

Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced that the Indian pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman will be released tomorrow as a peace gesture.  

DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor in a tweet said: “In response to PAF strikes this morning as released by MoFA, IAF crossed LOC. PAF shot down two Indian aircrafts inside Pakistani airspace. One of the aircraft fell inside AJ&K while other fell inside IOK.”

One Indian pilot was captured during this incident. A video of the pilot circulated in which the pilot said, “This is what I would expect my army to behave as, and I´m very impressed by the Pakistani army.”

Now Pakistan has again shown through its actions that they want peace, not war. As a gesture of goodwill, Pakistan Prime Minister has announced that the captured Indian pilot will be released tomorrow.

Furthermore, Imran Khan has again urged Indian Prime Minister that if India will attack Pakistan, Pakistan will be left with no choice but to retaliate.  Thus, it is important that the situation from here onwards is resolved through peace talks.

To establish peace in the region it is essential that Indian government also takes a step forward. Better sense should surely prevail.
