There has been an increase in the demand of spices before Eid-ul-Azha.
Like every year, this year to the spices business has witnessed a boom in the household purchase of commodities like cardamom, cloves, cumin, pepper and cinnamon for cooking the meat-related recipes.
These mandatory cooking commodities have become the centre of attraction for the female purchasers in the grocery stores.
Traders throughout the country which includes the federal capital have become active for cashing in on the increased demand for spices that are used in the meat recipes.

As per the sellers, during the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, the air in the marketplace literally becomes aromatic as the scrumptious range of conventional food dishes like kebabs and Biryani are made.
The use of spices has been in since ancient times, but their role is still significant in modern food preparation as they add unique flavours to the food but contributes to the colour and variety too.
Everyone wishes to serve their family and guests with their best food dishes. Zainab Khalid—a housewife said that there were so many shoppers in the market who are making money via selling these mandatory cooking items on the joyous festival of Eid.
The demand for tomato ketchup and other packaged masala items that are consumed with kebabs and tikkas during Eid has also surged, as per a retailer.
