Pakistan’s exports to China have surged by 3.97percent during the first 8 months of the present financial year in comparison to the same period last year.
The exports from Pakistan to China during the period under consideration surged to 1.15billion dollars in comparison to the exports of 1.106billion dollars which was recorded during July-February 2017-18.
The trade deficit between Pakistan and China has also declined to 5.478billion dollars during July-February 2018-19 in comparison to the trade deficit of 6.22billion dollars in the same period of the earlier year.
On the 30th of March, the very first meeting of the China-Pakistan Forestry Working Group was scheduled in Beijing for recognizing the priority areas for cooperation in the division of forestry between the two nations, as per the reports of Radio Pakistan.
The meeting attendees were the officials of the National Forestry and Grassland Bureau International Cooperation Department of China and the Climate Change Department of Pakistan.
Both sides discussed on the prospects of cooperation in desertification control, wetland restoration, wildlife protection and other major fields and problems.
Pakistan and China keep on enjoying bilateral ties from the economic platform to cultural relations.
Previously, 3 Chinese cities—Urumqi, Xian and Puyang were named as the sister cities of Karachi, Multan and Gwadar respectively.
