On Friday, the Education minister of Punjab-Murad Raas said that in case the government gives winter vacations this year, then the summer holidays would be reduced or there would not be any.
As per reports, he said that he is not in favor of giving winter leaves as the schools have just reopened after 6 months gap.
The minister further said that he would be forwarding his views in the NCOC meeting that would be taking the decision of the students’ fate on coming Monday.
Murad Raas said that before this , he would be heading a meeting with the heads of the 36 Punjab districts to get their respective input.
He further said that the school teaching operations would not suspend in case the educational institutes are closed owing to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases. Students would be taught in the distance learning mode and would be given home assignments.
He also said that the students would not just go physically to the schools, besides that everything else would be the same.
He requested parents that if they are not sending their children to schools then they also must not take their children to the northern areas or shopping malls.
