Ahmed Mujtaba, the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter from Pakistan, commonly known as “The Wolverine”, defeated Indian fighter Rahul Raju in just 56 seconds of the first round of the ONE Championship competition held in Singapore.
In 2013, the martial arts fighter who belongs to Quetta made his debut. During the fight with Indian fighter Rahul, he punched him with a wild overhand right and knocked him in just the beginning of their fight.
After Mujtaba’s hard punch, the referee had to step in as Ahmed was repeatedly landing more strikes on his competitor. The Pakistani fighter wins in the first round of One Championship, which is Asia’s biggest MMA promotion, upgraded his career record to 8-2, whereas his Indian equivalent fell to 7-6.
On the global platform, it was Ahmed’s third victory. After winning the bout the fighter in a video message said that he fulfilled his promise by winning the match.
Moreover, he said: “I dedicate this fight to all the Kashmiris, the soldiers of Pakistan army and his fans in all over the world. God willing, we will continue to win and continue to make Pakistan proud.”
