Three biggest leaders of Pakistan from three biggest political parties of the country Imran Khan from PTI, Bilawal Bhutto from PPP, and Maryam Nawaz from PML-N will contest for general elections in July 2018 from different constituencies.
The Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will contest elections from NA-243 in Karachi for the upcoming polls in July 2018. He has submitted his nomination papers.
This constituency was created after delimitation from NA-252 and a section of NA-253 that falls in a district on the eastern side of Karachi.
Imran Khan announced on February 26, that he will contest the general elections in 2018 from five constituencies, three from Punjab and two from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa
The Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will contest general elections in 2018 from three National Assembly constituencies that are NA-8 Malakand, NA-200 Larkana and NA-246 Lyari, Karachi.
Bilawal spoke to media and said, ‘I am stepping into parliamentary politics. A Bhutto in mainstream politics will strengthen Pakistan’s defence.”
PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz has submitted nomination papers to contest her first election from party’s dominant constituency in Lahore, NA-125. The NA-125 constituency was NA-120 before it was delimitated. It is the same constituency where Nawaz Sharif, contested and won in 2013 elections.
