IMF Delegation to Reach Islamabad on October 28

A delegation of the International Monetary Fund—IMF would be reaching Islamabad on a 2-week visit on the 28th of October, as per the Finance Ministry on Sunday.

As per a statement, the IMF delegation would be reviewing the economic progress of Pakistan. It would be releasing the second installment of $6 billion bailout package after the review.

The IMF had given $1 billion to Pakistan back in the month of July after its board gave approval to a $6 billion bailout package. It is a 3-year loan program.

The fund would be reviewing the performance of Pakistan on a quarterly basis over 39 months channeling way for the release of the additional aid over time.

PM Khan would be inaugurating the Kartarpur Corridor on the 9th of November. The Prime Minister of Pakistan made this announcement that Pakistan is ready to receive the Sikh community from all across the globe.

On Monday, Pakistan gave the final draft of the Kartarpur corridor agreement to India.
