Prime Minister Imran Khan shocked to see some of the medical staff members are mistreating the COVID-19 patients. He made it very clear that such behavior is intolerable and will create a sense of fear among the patients.
A meeting of the National Health Task Force was held in Islamabad where the Prime Minister told the concerned authorities to make a comprehensive strategy in order to create awareness among the civilians regarding the pandemic disease.
He also ordered all the doctors and paramedical staff members to treat all the coronavirus patients with extreme care and responsibility.
PM Khan stated that the COVID-19 situation is still better in Pakistan as compared to other countries. by adopting all precautionary measures the situation can be improved.
He also asked the public to immediately get them tested if they feel any symptom of the coronavirus.
PM’s focal person on Coronavirus Dr.Faisal Sultan says that Pakistan is still less affected by the virus if compared to other countries of the world where a huge amount of people have died due to coronavirus.
In March, there were only 4 coronavirus testing labs which have now increased to 63.
The meeting was carried out through a video link in which all the four provincial health ministers were present. All of them briefed the PM about the safety measures they are taking to control the virus. Also, they told PM Khan about the ongoing treatments of the patients in the hospitals and the capacity they have in their provinces to set up more laboratories.
